One Room Challenge: Fall 2019/ The Final Reveal

Let’s kick it off with a before picture, shall we?

Well friends, I DID IT! Somehow, someway I completed the One Room Challenge after what may have been the busiest October of my life! Where’s my wine?!

I am over the moon with how the room turned out, and even more elated that I upheld the environmental standards I aimed to keep! Let me touch on that for a second - there is a devastating amount of waste caused by the home decor world. Toxic chemicals, plastics, trash, excess - just too much. I am proud that in doing this One Room Challenge I did my best to reduce waste and the use of toxic products, reuse things I already owned, and recycle other peoples’ trash into my treasures. I hope that I inspire you to think a little bit more “green” the next time you start a home project. It matters. [steps down from soap box]

Secondly, I would like to thank my sponsors for helping me achieve this beautiful bedroom! This was the most amount of partnerships I have ever taken on, and it was such a wonderful experience. I am so proud to represent these brands who have all made a conscious effort to do better for the Earth (down to their packaging!) :

The nightstands turned out so cute! The white paint, brass pulls, and casters made them so charming!

Stripping and refinishing this bed was a big undertaking, but I am thrilled with the results. It is so solid and I think it will be a family heirloom. I will never use a squeaky metal bed again.

These great bedside sconces were a wedding gift. I altered them a bit to suit the space, and I think they look great here. I found the antique shades at Brimfield in 2011 and my friend designed an made the rest of the components,

This picture is everything I dreamed about for my bedroom.

This vanity mirror was a $5 Facebook Marketplace find that I picked up during the final week of the ORC.

My olive tree just looks so happy in this room!

I didn’t paint the closet doors at first, but I am SO glad that I did!

This $30 Facebook Marketplace mirror that I snagged 1 day before reveal day gave me a great little dressing spot. Now I can be a fashion blogger…just kidding.

This whole design started with that $20 flea market painting! The rest is history!

I can’t believe I get to sleep here every night! I finally have the haven of a master bedroom that I always wanted. I would love to hear what you think, so please leave me a comment here or on Instagram!
